Were you looking? Ah, what was it? The keys? A letter? Three perfect tomatoes? A hotel in Buenos Aires? Or did you just find it? Did you even know you were looking for it…? Can you find something for which you were not searching…? Absolutely. An alley, a beach, flowers in a vase, an old car in Rome, victories and defeats, autumn leaves, stone buildings, clouds over Paris, faces, faces, faces…FOUND – discovering that which we did not know was missing…
New York City. What a great tangled mess of concrete and humanity! It had been six years since my last visit -- pre-9/11, pre-War on Terror, pre-Moving to France. A lot has changed, but the city is still The City -- brash, unapologetic and open to anyone who ha the guts to give it a try. I will not let six years lapse before my next visit.
